Harlequin Du Carel is a son of the international show jumper Rosire who is also the sire of the famous international jumpers like a Hermine d'Auzay (Daniel Etter ) and Don Juan de Cuves (Carini Luca).Dam sire Starter is also the dam sire of Baloubet Du Rouet.

Harlequin Du Carel was approved by the Selle Francais studbook in 2000 and by the Irish Sport Horse Studbook in 2009. He decends from the selle francais mareline 1223 . This line has produced the stallions Kildare Du Carel and Rocky Du Carel. Harlequin Du Carel has produced international show jumpers Dorada (Shane Breen), Vivs Diamond (Nick Motmans) and Du Noble ( Aidan Killeen)
